Welcome to Chabad Gaon Academy

At Chabad Gaon Academy we strive to provide a comprehensive middle through high school education that seamlessly integrates Jewish values and academic excellence. Our dedicated faculty is committed to nurturing each student's individual potential, fostering personal growth, and building strong character.

As a Chabad Gaon Academy, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that prepares our students for success in both their academic pursuits and their future lives.

WHO WE ARE

Chabad Gaon Academy is a nonprofit Jewish day school in Los Angeles dedicated to ensuring that every Jewish child—regardless of learning differences or financial hardship—has access to a meaningful, high-quality Torah education. Founded by Rabbi Moshe Levin, director of Chabad Pico – Bais Bezalel, and led by veteran educator Mrs. Rivkah Roth, the Academy serves as a lifeline for students who have fallen through the cracks of the mainstream system. With tuition set approximately 40% below typical market rates, the school operates on the belief that no child should be turned away due to cost, academic profile, or family circumstance.

Housed in a modest set of classrooms behind Pico Boulevard, Chabad Gaon Academy currently serves a diverse mix of students from across the Jewish community—including children with unique learning  challenges—who thrive under the school’s highly individualized, small-group instruction. Mrs. Roth and her faculty design customized curricula that transform what other schools might label “behavioral challenges” into creative strengths. Students once disengaged from Jewish learning are now leading d’vrei Torah, mentoring younger peers, and rediscovering pride in their identity and intellect. The Academy’s success has already drawn attention as a model of inclusion and innovation within Jewish education.

Operating without an endowment or major institutional backing, Chabad Gaon Academy relies on community generosity and modest grants to sustain its mission. Every contribution directly funds scholarships, teacher salaries, and essential learning materials for families who could not otherwise afford Jewish schooling. For funders seeking high-impact, values-driven philanthropy, this school represents an unparalleled opportunity: to invest not only in education, but in belonging—ensuring that every Jewish child, regardless of ability or means, has a place to learn, grow, and be seen.
